To the Family of Southside Christian Fellowship,

As we enter a new year, we as a body of believers need to move forward under the direction of the Holy Spirit. January 4, 2010 through January 24, 2010 I am asking you as a part of the SCF family to fast and pray seeking the Lord for the advancement of His Kingdom and His manifest presence. The Church will be open every night from 7 pm to 8:30 for prayer. As we lean into Him together, we are expecting an outpouring of blessing like we have never experienced before.

Over the years many prophetic voices such as Kirk Bennett, Leann Olivera, Micah Usry, Steve Thompson and others have declared that SCF has been called to be a place of His presence. Just recently Scott Thompson of Bethel Atlanta said, “this is an important place. This building here, well this building is not so important but what happens here is important and the people who assemble here are important. If you came to this church you didn’t stumble here by accident. Before time God ordained that you be here in a place such as this to carry His presence and to be part of a fountain like the pool of Bethesda. This fountain is not a sometimes active fountain but is always active with fresh water.”

This prayer guide will help us stay focused and united in our prayer. Each day is devoted to a different topic. Included in this guide is a Scripture for meditation, a declaration and a model prayer. Please pray as the Spirit leads. Pray in your understanding and pray in the Spirit.

This is an exciting time for us as a church. We are in a place of total dependence on the Holy Spirit. We are expecting to see amazing things this year. Healings, deliverances, signs and wonder will flow in abundance this year. This is going to be a year of harvest.
